DJP,
Earthbookings and Eyefuel Media at ADE promoting the very
first
International Afro Acid Event
The 2006 Amsterdam dance event had
meetings, parties, the red light district and Afro Acid!
DJP has taken "Afro Acid" International and will be doing a series
of afro acid events in Europe and beyond. "Afro Acid: Chicago Jacks Amsterdam" had
a unique lineup of artists including DJ Pierre, Marshall Jefferson and Harrison
Crump. ADE was rocked by their sets as they showcased a variety of styles. The
venue Melkweg (NL) exploded as the house veterans mixed it up and kept the energy
high all night for countless house fans. Amsterdam promoters Earthbookings (www.earth-link.nl/)
and DJP Art designer Eyefuel Media (www.eyefuelmedia.com) were definitely a big
part of the event as well.
Says DJP..."ADE is everything that's good about
WMC/M3- Miami (usa) and Midem (france). Its the best
of both worlds. I appreciate the support Amsterdam
showed us at the Afro Acid event...and a big thank
you to Marshall Jefferson, Harrison Crump, Earth and
Joey P. from Eyefuel. Lets do it again"
Says Earth "AFRO ACID - The Amsterdam sessions
at the Amsterdam Dance Event was a huge success, the
crowd went absolutely mental when Pierre appeared on
stage. His 2 hours of dancefloor madness were very impressive. On the conference
part of ADE Pierre said some interesting words 'in the artist debate' lead by
Pete Tong.
Says Eyefuel media - "ADE is straight business!
Very informative panels. real hard networking and the
afro acid party was crazy jammed packed! Dj Pierre
were all over the place!!!!"
The Afro Acid man (we can put the afro acid man here)
Afro Acid look got going when Pierre came up with the idea of a comical acid
head (afro acid man) with an afro and a pick. He brought the idea to Joey P.
(Eyefuel) and PR guru Andy -Penetration Inc. (www. penetrationinc.com). The rest
is history.
The Afro Acid events got started in NY as DJP Muzik and NYC promoters Stank (www.houseofstank.com)
got together and decided to showcase some of Chicago's top talent with a series
of events righteously named-Afro Acid: The Chicago Sessions- held at New York's
Mr. Black's Dance Den where Pierre, Harrison Crump, Glenn Underground, Cajmere
(Green Velvet showed up as well), Ron Carroll, and Mark Grant jacked NY! The
monthly continues with Godfather of house Marshall Jefferson closing out the
year December 13th.
Look out for the next international event: Afro Acid jacks UK: with DJP and Superchumbo
(Tom Stephan) at Misson Annexe in Leeds brought to you by DJP Muzik and JOY November
4th.
